Contaminated Land at Pinchington Lane in Newbury- Remediation Consultancy Services Bettridge Turner and Partners are supervising a long-term monitoring program of a landfill site which is producing landfill gases. The site was formerly a gravel pit, which was then infilled with waste. A gas vent trench has been installed along part of the site boundary, to protect a new adjacent development. This was designed and supervised by BTP. BTP have also planned and supervised ground engineering and a flux box gas survey on part of the landfill, for which plans in are place to develop it for a commercial end use. This will enable the design of ground improvement and gas protection, to allow the development to proceed safely.
