Hydraulics Engineer

Civil Engineer/Technician with a minimum of two years experience needed, to undertake flood studies, flood risk assessments and drainage designs for a range of development projects.

You should be educated to HNC/degree level and be familiar with some hydraulic modelling software (e.g. MicroDrainage, Hydroworks, Infoworks, HECRAS, ISIS) and AutoCAD.
Report writing skills are desirable.

5 years plus experience since becoming chartered, ideally with UK consultants. Good design experience with the main construction materials and thorough knowledge of BS and Euro codes. Must be able to control a small team and work with minimum supervision.

3 years plus experience since graduation and looking to obtain chartership. Must be able to demonstrate experience with most main construction materials and relevant codes of practice. Candidates should enjoy working in a team. Working knowledge of AutoCad would be beneficial.

5 years plus experience in the preparation of general arrangement and reinforced concrete drawings; steelwork and some detailing ideally.
